LOL. How about how long until they take them away? That is what they are trying to do with gun-control. Ever heard of the Second Amendment?

I'm not aware of any liberties I've lost. Under the Dems I have had my Second Amendment right threatened. My First Amendment rights threatened with political correctness. I have had my rights to an equal chance at education and advancement taken from me by affirmation action. I have had my beliefs in my relegion attacked by the liberals. So what liberties are you saying they will restore when they are the ones who want socialist form of government that limits freedom.

They won't. Anytime you add new entitlements or programs it compromises liberty. Check out Ron Paul.

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

He will abolish the Income tax and replace it with nothing. That's a big liberty, because the way it works now the government has a claim on the fruits of your labor and it is they who decide what you get to keep -- that's not liberty.

The President doesn't pass laws, Congress does, and right now, our Congress is mostly Dems. Because of Dems, my right to Free Speech is going away in the name of PCism. My 2nd Amendment rights are going away and my freedom OF religion is almost out the window thanks to Libs. So, I don't know what "liberties" you are speaking of that we've lost. I can't think of one under President Bush, but under the Dems, they are slowly going away........

I'm sure this question is asked in jest. Any serious evaluation of which party has done the most to restrict our liberties indicates it is the Democrats.

Restore what liberties? What liberties have been taken away since 2001?

Why would they give back what they've helped take away? If they were intent on doing so they would enact legislation. The President doesn't create laws, Congress does; and Democrats have control of both houses of Congress.

There was another question earlier today asking if conservatives respected the Constitution. I answered, apparently only the Second Amendment.

I see many of your answers to this question verify my earlier opinion.
