Grey in every shade, burgundy, deep purple, black and dark blue and fabrics are rich and comfortable such as cashmere and silk. Brown is neutral so it's every season =) and of course purple is hot (even better if it's dark). Metallic only on accessories and in tiny doses.

Winter colors may include the cool colors such as blue and white and maybe red and green for Christmas. Brown and purple would be considered fall colors. I hope I could help answer your question.

Winter colours would include black, grey, dark blue, deep purple, and dark green. Also, don't forget a rich, deep red. Anything dark and mysterious. No metallics for this winter, though, I think.

If you are asking what the color trends are for this winter are, then deep purple, rich grays, navy blue, black & coffee are the focus this season.
If you are about asking the seasons for colors based on hair color, skin tone, etc. then this link outlines them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_tone_color_matching
