make a note to self to kick the crap out of the person who set me up on the date. *tee-hee* Then um, be really nice to him, and go through with the date, but let him know there would probably, most likely NOT be a second one. [maybe he's a nice guy, and funny and smart and so on, but........!! ] I'm seriously not super vain, and i focus on the heart & attitude of the person, not necessarily the outward appearance, as what's in the heart matters more, BUT...... i do have standards you know. LOL. Maybe he'd make a great friend to hang out with, but romantically? Erm, yeah, i don't think so. I really could not do super-ugly-hideous, i don't care how smart or nice or funny. *sorry* but that's honesty!! ♥

*thinks* then again, I'd never agree to a blind date!!!!

I treat them with the dignity they deserve, take her where she wants to go and show her a good time. If she has a great personality I would probably see her in a different light. If not I wouldnt see her again. If shes really sweet I dont care what she looks like.
Ok I do have limits. If shes a Janet Reno forget it.
But really just cuz theyre ugly doesnt mean they dont deserve to be treated with dignity. It seems like were turning into a mean spirited society that is shallow and its sad.

okay first of all when you are set up on a blind date and you are the good looking one, you already know you*re in trouble. I was on a blind date from hell once, I sucked it up and it was THE most miserable night of my life...he showed up like he had just gotten off work wearing striped pants and a plaid shirt...it was so embarrassing to be seen with him...NEVER GO ON A BLIND DATE! HOW I WISH I HAD BEEN BLIND JUST FOR THAT ONE NIGHT!!!

Beauty is only skin deep... It is what is on the inside that counts.
This person may turn out to be a very good friend, if you can't see them as a partner.
If you have to go on blind dates be thankful that someone actually turned up, beggars can't be choosers.

You don't go to a blind date without a backup. Have a friend call you 10 minutes into the date. Make a script. "Hey, Mike. Yeah? Oh my god. Where are you? Okay. So, Heather's gonna pick you up? Okay. That's cool." Then have your friend call again and this time you say "Mike. I thought Heather was gonna pick you up? Oh crap. I thought she said she was going to?" Then you tell your date that you have to go get your friend who's ran out of gas or what not. Add that he's totally drunk and gets very violent, in case your date wants to go with you.

Go out for the evening and get to know the person. Looks ain't everything and I'm more interested in intellect and personality anyway.

Even if it doesn't work out romantically, you might end up with a great friend!

That is why you meet in a public place and have a friend stationed at another table and then you can give her a signal and she can go outside and call you on your cellphone and tell you that something terrible has happened and you are needed right away and then you can just leave and run like hell.........

if they dont see you you get just leave and they wouldnt know who you are, but that wouldnt be very nice. The best option would prolly be just to go on the date with them and then after that you can make up an excuse as to why you dont want to hang out anymore.
