If our government planned the attacks in order to make us afraid so they could use our fear to go to war, which would allow them to pursue their own interests... then why just a one day attack? Why wouldn't they have planned more attacks in other places to scare us even more?

First, there were several attacks at different places. Embassies in Africa, the first world trade center bombing and the USS Cole for starters. Plus, they could have easily pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on foreign extremist instead of one of our own. I still don't think the government planned the attacks. I do think the government knew about the attacks and then chose to do nothing about them. Thus, using a tragedy to their advantage.

They didn't need days of attacks to instill so much fear. The first attack just needed to be big enough. It was.
