Sox dominate without him, why should they pay him $300 million? Besides they're going to have alot of their own stars to sign in the next few years.

If the Red Sox get A-Rod then they will be almost unbeatable in the playoffs. I wish my team could afford to pick him up. Any team in baseball would be lucky to have him. A-Rod is not now nor ever has been the worst player in the playoffs. He had a couple of bad playoff seasons and that is all. He more then made up for that in the regular season. The Yankee organization and fans should be ashamed of themselves for how they have treated him. I don't understand why fans who claim to know so much about baseball don't look at this mans stats, and stop blaming him for all their woes. He was the best player the YANKEES had, but he is lucky he is gone. Now the fans can find some other player to blame for the teams losses and problems on. He can now play for a team that can enjoy his talent and appriciate him. Of course he isn't worth that much money, but there isn't a player on the Yankees that is worth what they get paid. Don't blame A-Rod for his salery, blame good ole George.

Just 3? one million. Beating the Yankees within the 2004 ALCS. two. The Green Monstah three. The undeniable fact that the Red Sox have the oldest ballpark in MLB four. The guide scoreboard five. Section forty two, row 37, seat 21 6. Ending an 86 12 months "curse" 7. Boston is likely one of the such a lot ancient & mighty cities eight. The Impossible Dream nine. The retired numbers 10. Rooting in opposition to the Yankees eleven. "Sweet Caroline"

Any team would be glad to have A-Rod for the most part. He's not the worst clutch hitter in baseball, but he his one of the worst in post season play! He reminds me of Graig Nettles in that way! After telling the Yankees that $350,000,000.00 was only the basement starting point in terms of dollars and cents, I personally think he's out of his mind. It's players like him and owners like George Steinbrenner, and I am a Yankee fan mind you, that make baseball the sham it has become.
They need to level the playing field, as it were, and not allow money to rule the sport. Steinbrenner doesn't care if he's fined for going over league budget....he's got that and plenty more where that came from. The Commissioner is an absolute joke and does nothing to ease the strain of funding or steroids in the sport. He says a bit and does nothing! Baseball is slowly but surely going the way of the Olympics.
As to A-Rod...I can only wonder what he'll "settle" for...lol!

It's not a big surprise to me. The Red Sox have the second best payroll in the Major Leagues. Plus they could replace Lugo at shortstop.

Am I the only one that realizes A-Rod is a career .279 hitter in the post season? He has 7 HR's and 17 RBI in 39 games.
He's nowhere near the worst post season player - nor can he be considered bad.
