When my husband was deployed to Iraq for the first time (in 2003)there wasn't alot of ways to communicate except writing letters and using the morale phones. My husband was calling me once a week and when I would mention it to the other military wives they would get mad because they hadn't heard from their husbands at all. It wasn't until sometime later I found out he was waiting in line for 4 hours to make that 20 minute phone call! To me, that is the most romantic thing that he has ever done....

My boyfriend of 5 weeks sent me red roses with a poem on the day my ex fiance and I would have gotten married. I felt really bad though because I realized I didn't have feelings for him, so they only made me cry more.
Pretty sad when I can't say anything that my ex fiance did for me romantically... he didn't really do ANYTHING romatic. I'd say the most romantic thing he did was tell me he wouldn't sign a pre-nup agreement when we got married!! Then he ended up leaving me!!! lol oh the irony....

The most romantic, time is an evening of traveling around the world. He said he could not afford to take me around the world. He improvised,He had the whole setting of music, food, wine and culture from all different countries. He had little stations set up in his apartment and pictures.
He said he loved me in many different languages. It was the most romantic night ever.Which I will always treasure.

A lady friend planned a date of going out and watching the sunset in a row boat on a somewhat secluded lake with a picnic basket she made up. We built a campfire on shore and she had me bring my guitar. Nice evening
