WHY DO PEOPLE SAY THEY WILL CHANGE BUT THINGS ALWAYS STAY THE SAME?

We are always changing throughout our life, but it will only have meaning if it is something we do for our self. It is a frustrating and hopeless trap to expect other people to change just for us.
On the other hand, it may be a pleasant surprise to discover a change has occurred which we enjoy and celebrate. We can have an influence on people to change, but it is always something they must ultimately do them self.

People have to be willing to change. If they are not then the more things change the more the stay the same.......sorry not much help...

Because a leopard doesn't change it's spots.
It is like making New Year's Resolutions. We mean it when we promise it to ourselves but then we just go back to being slack on whatever we were intending to improve and fall back to comfortable habits.

Because it's hard to change, especially if someone else sees a problem and you don't. You have to really want it and sometimes even if you really want it, you still can't. We are who we are and sometimes it cannot be changed. What YOU need to ask yourself is why are you with someone you want to change? When you love someone you love them for who they are. That's it. There's no "I love you BUT". You either accept them or you don't.

You got with this guy who had some hangups and some differences you didn't really like..... but you thought you could iron them out after you started living with him? Go figure!!!!

because people cant change who they are! nor should you want them to. You are supposed to be with them or like them for who they are, if you dont like who they are then you shouldnt be with/around them.

if it's some one your with they tell you that just to get you back where they want you once they do they they go back to their old selves.men just care about getting their way
