what happened to him? why isnt he on the calgary flame this season?
is he taking the year off or is he on a new team?

Darryl Sutter felt that the Flames had better players and chose not to re-sign him. The rest of the NHL felt the same way as Sutter. He'll get more ice time in Europe at a higher level and if he succeeds, he could be back some day.

He beat everyone in the NHL up so he went to the Euro league because he was bored.
