I have worked very hard in this life, physically, mentally, emotionally. All my efforts have helped to make my life what it is today.
I'm the most joyous person i know. I have earned this through my blood, sweat and tears.
Your efforts will pay off. Work hard, and you'll reap your rewards.

What made my life better was the worst thing that ever happened to me in my life.
In middle school, I was this huge superficial, cruel, and shallow kid, and I was EXTREMELY mean to my friends. I talked badly about people all the time, and I was just...a very bad person. So in eighth grade and much of ninth, karma came back to get me and I was the shunned one, the one who everyone hated, and I hit an all time low. While experiencing it, I always asked, to no one in particular, "Why me? What did I do to deserve this?" For some reason, it never occurred to me that I was getting what I had coming for me.
But it just occurred to me very recently that even though I went through some bad times, my experience changed me for the better, and I am one hundred times the person I was three years ago. So whatever mistakes I made towards the end of middle school, I'm glad I made them, because who knows what kind of person I'd be today if I hadn't.

Making the desicion to become truly happy with myself and liking myself for who i am, not in a cocky, self-centered way...but for a while, i was uncomfortable with who i am. Once you have accepted yourself, others can accept you
I learned that lesson, and i wish many others would too...it has lead to loads of self discovery, and has made my life better. I am a much happier person than i was, and so much stronger

Admitting I need help to myself, to my mother and telling how I really feel to mental health associates. I was always afraid to tell how suicidal I was and how alone I felt. It didn't matter how much suffering I was going through. I didn't want anyone to know how weak I was. Also really believing in myself and admitting I have a lot of good qualities and a lot of worth.

Not wasting time pursing a goal that I don't really care about. I found if you succeed at such a goal, not only do you get what you really don't want, but you may then have obligations that make it hard to break off from that path.
