Even if it's just a flat picture, doing a jigsaw is never a wasted effort.

Puzzles have been around for 100's of years. I run a personalized puzzle company www.jigsaw2order.com and sell puzzles all around the world so they must have something to offer.

I consider puzzles to be a work-out for the brain while sitting in your armchair. Some people do puzzles to relax while others see them as a family activity - something that brings people together. With video games and TV, there are not so many cooperative games that bring all ages together. They are idea for family reunions of family gatherings as a 10 year old can work a puzzle side by side with their 80 year old grand parents.

Puzzles are particularly popular with people who are recovering from an illness or handicapped and cannot get around easily.

Puzzles are used as teamwork training aids by businesses. In fact puzzles are as popular today as I think they have ever been.

Perhaps the best part is that you can start and stop a puzzle anytime without loosing your place. Enjoy your puzzles, stop for a while and they are always there for you.

Happy puzzling,

You practice eye hand coordination and spatial relationships, ex: looking at a piece of the puzzle and visualizing the need to turn it around to fit.

It is known to keep your brain active & delay cognitive impairment as you age.

Nothing you enjoy is a waste of time. It can also act as a stress reliever.

So start that next puzzle!

Do them with someone! Creates a centerpiece for the conversation and fun. Then when done, either donate them if you don't think you will do them again or have the finished product framed if it was really tough and looks extraordinarily beautiful.
