Having trouble with Dell laptop, put new hard drive, new battery, power cord. when I plug the power cord it still wont start up? any help?

my advice is to take it someplace, it is probably a short, most likely in the part that connects it. Call dell if you still have your warranty. if you don't like talking to someone over seas (i know some people don't) then just ask for someone in the us. Dell is really good about helping in any way they can. It might take you a bit to get a hold of them but once you do they will help. Also you might have a virus, do you have any kind of ani virus? i would check on that too

if you hear the fan come on your getting power, have you tried 4matting you may have a virus, take it ti circuit city or best buy they can check it for you.
