Jettif has it all summed up . I agree but without the negative spin. Soap operas have been around a long time and the writers know the formula for making the shows successful. It is the pill popping, paternity issues, cheating, murdering and mob wars that keep us all coming back every day for more. Love 'em or watch something else, it's all up to you.

If it where not for the classic characters there would be no general hospital. I like Scott and Luke. My mom use to watch them when she young and now i watch them. I have e been watching general hospital since the seventies and since when Laura and Luke where on the run from the mob. Plus - Scott and Luke are part of GH's history. There would not be a show with out Luke and Scott. I like their bickering because it is so funny how they are acting like two children playing in a sand box. Or over a toy they can not have. Now they are bickering over their children being together. That is so funny.

As a longtime fan, I love all the interaction between Luke and Scott. For them to be on the screen together and not act this way would actually be weird like Bizarro GH or something. Yes its a been there done that dated thing, but how else could these two men interact?

I've been watching for 8 years, am I considered a longtime fan?
I don't think Luke's character is near as interesting as it was years ago. The competitiveness between Luke and Scott just isn't the same anymore. Maybe it's just me though. I, personally, love GH's mob drama. I think that's what keeps me hooked.

I'd much rather see the dynamics between Scott and Luke than the manufactured interactions between the younger sets. The Spencer/Baldwin fued has been going on for decades, and it actually has very complex and valid reasons behind it -- nowadays the writers seem to decide completely at random to make two characters hate each other for a little while until it stops being convenient and then it's dropped. That's boring. Give me the classic soap fueds any day.

I just started watch GH three years ago and I like seeing things that happened years ago being brought up, such as the Luke/Laura/Scott triangle. Even though all this happened years ago the animosity between Luke and Scott is still up to date.

I am not a long time watcher but do feel that somehow Luke was incorporated into the ball as kinda an odd man out. He seemed displaced and when he joked about putting the looney on the other side of the door, it seemed to fall flat.... I adore him. Don't misunderstand but he seems to not be such a fixture anymore... The show has moved on as I guess they have to.

It makes me laugh whenever Luke and Scotty go after eachother, I habe been watching all my life so I love when they pair them together. I think they work well off each other. I like the see the older guys and not just the young kids.

I have pretty much stopped watching the show. It is no longer anywhere near as good as it once was. It became Mob Inc, and that is all it is now.. The only thing that happens at the hospital is when the mob story sends someone there. All the younger women are in love with a mob person.. very sad..
