No, it doesn't make your weird. There are people who makes knives for a living. Maybe you should consider that. You might as well make money doing something you like to do.

Heck no. I made knives for years before I hurt my back. it doesn't make you weird, and whoever said it did is probably either incredibly boring or just a complete loser who can't stand someone else being interesting.

I do historical re-enactment. A lot of the guys make their own knives. I don't think they're weird, but I guess it depends who you hang out with.

You could be developing your career. Many handmade knife makers saw a knife they admired and began making their own knives. Many handmade knives are extremely popular and people can wait up to 3 years for a knife order!

Why should you care if ianyone else would think you are weird? If you enjoy it and it doesn't hurt anyone, have fun. If you wait for other people to approve of what you do, you'll waste your life.
