Why do we put up with our government and President taking advantage of us?

In America, they vote them out of office at the next election, and American voters have complete confidence that there will be another election.
As we've just learned (yesterday) in Pakistan (as an example), an election can be put off, and the government continues in power, whether the people want them or not. In America, no one can claim power, or commit action, for longer than two years. (American's elect 100% of their Representatives every two years.)
But, most Americans don't believe that the government (and the President) are taking advantage of them. Most Americans think the elected members of Congress, and the President, are doing all they can to protect our liberties, our freedom, and our nation. Not all Americans believe this--obviously you don't--but most do. You apparently haven't yet grown up enough to be able to vote. When you become an adult, suddenly you'll see that your view of America is pretty narrow. The whole of the nation is a little smarter than anyone of us individually. And, once you are an adult, and see the larger world, your opinion too will change. Then, you too will vote for those who make good decisions. Then, you too will be an adult. That's why American's don't allow children to vote--they are easily fooled, as clearly you are.

The biggest reason WE THE PEOPLE allow and accept this sort of behavior from our government and president, is the majority of us don't care about civil matters,and figure the politicians will take care of America's issues. The fact is our government is owned by BIG BUSINESS! Big business has bought and paid for it. And the politicians have been bought and paid for by the lobbyist big business sends to Washington, to thwart any and all forward and social programs to benefit the American working people! Until WE THE PEOPLE,decide to abolish lobbyist from Washington, eliminate the current politicians there, and do away with political parties, we will be doomed to have this kind of SELLOUT of our country to the lowest bidder! Wouldnt it be more proper to offer to our children and grandchildren,a bright future,with education and employment oppurtunities,limited only to their imagination?? Instead what we now offer them, a country with the infrastructure in decay, trillions of dollars of debt,(WHICH THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY) education with a price tag very few can afford,and a future where they will do WORSE,than we the current generation have done.. When WE THE PEOPLE,demand what we once had, and demand businesses operate their businesses in a way that is good for Americans and our country,then and only then, can America,regain respect from within and abroad!! America today with big business and our government at the wheel ,is in a race to the bottom, and America CAN'T survive as a nation!!
