Though I am not a woman, I would have to ask how is your overall health including age and sexual activity? A lot of issues with menstruation can be caused by diet, exercise, stress, medicines, hormonal irregularities, etc. It could even be caused by failed pregnancy where the body naturally aborts a baby when there are severe genetic abnormalities or by trauma or side effects of certain medicines including birth control pills, patches, injections, or IUD's, or stress, etc. It is always a wise practice to have a medical doctor do a complete physical if there is a major change in bodily functions especially if it continues or if there are other physical symptoms such a severe cramping or if the menses are different in color from the dark red of a normal period to a bright red signifying fresh bleeding such as caused by tumors, burst ovary, cervical cancers, vaginal tears, STI's (STD's), etc. This condition is obviously causing a great deal of distress for you and to make sure everything is healthy for you and/or catch something before it gets out of hand you should see a physician or Gynecologist. Also, make sure you have a yearly pap smear to always keep on top of these things. If you are not sexually active (recent sexual intercourse) and within the suggested age range (begins at age 9 to the late twenties or early thirties) and have a clear pap smear it would be wise to ask your doctor about HPV vaccine.

It's normal to have irregular periods the first few years of having your period. But if you have been having it for more than about three years and it's still weird, I would go see your doctor hun. Also, some people just have different cycles, if it happens about the same amount of time apart every time, every two weeks for example, then that may just be the way your body naturally menstruates.

Depends on your age. A lot of women dont regulate till they are 18 due to physical activity or other things involved. It doesnt mean there is something wrong, your body can just take longer to adapt to a period that some. Its normal for women to have irregular periods under the age, but not to say its what it is, go to your OBGYN for confirmation, just to be safe.

I started mine when I was 15 , and untill I was 18 1/2 I had irregular periods. I would have a period for 3 days one month, 2 weeks the next, then not have a period for 2-3 months, and this went on till I was almost 19. My doctor told me what I just told you, and now my periods are fine. But see your doc just in case, not all situations are the same

This happened to me when I was younger. It started out very irregular and went from 1 to 2 weeks to 3 weeks per month. I almost fainted at work because I was so anemic from blood loss. It turned out that I had a uterus full of fibroids that was causing the bleeding. I ended up getting my uterus removed but kept my ovaries so I wouldn't have to go on estrogen. If you've already had all the children you're planning on having, I would ask for this, but today, they have many other methods for treating this problem. All I know is that I felt like a new person after I had my uterus removed. Definitely see your Gynecolgist . Don't feel like you have to suffer through.

I would go see a Gynecologists. My periods are very irregular cause of a combination of my hormone levels being out of whack and needing to lose weight. I once went a year and a half with out a period,it was nice but also meant something was wrong. So go to a Gyno.

I would go see a doctor. I have no idea if it is a big problem or not, but it is not normal to have it twice a month regularly. A good doctor will help you regulate it, getting your period twice a month is anoying and can be stoped with some help.

I'm not a doctor -- and this is probably a question for your doctor. I've certainly experienced, and heard of, periods that do not follow the standard 28-day cycle. You need to visit your gynecologist so that you can be checked for anemia and make sure that everything is on tract. Good luck to you!

I went through that problem and eventually had bleeding about 35 days in a row. You could get on birth control pills to regulate your cycles and there are other treatments available too. Lots of different problems can cause symptoms like that, some pretty harmless, but others certainly not!!! Please don't suffer needlessly.

How old are you? Are you going through peri menopause? Are you young and over exercising and not eating? Do you have a eating disorder? Is the stress in your life off the charts? You need to go to a doctor.
