The formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals they use in the glues and in curing the leather, vinyl etc. Some people are so allergic to it they can't ride in a new car. It definitely can affect your health.

Have you ever had new carpet installed in your home? have you ever opened the box to a new computer and smelled the freshness? the combination of fresh paint, glue, plastic, fresh seat cushions, all of it adds to that new car smell.
