I got my period back 3 months after delivery even though I breastfed exclusively.

But then it stopped for whatever reason. I haven't had a period for 3 months in a row now.
Last week I gained around 3-4 pounds, was moody, my breasts were super sore and I had this heart fluttering again grrr. It feels as if my period is just not coming through. Weird.

Could this be because I'm still nursing? She is 19 months old.

Definitely not pregnant.

I hope you are not relying on breastfeeding alone as a contraceptive method. My Mum breast fed us all for at least 5 months, but there's only 2 months between my elder brother's birth and my conception, and 2 1/2 months between my birth and my next younger brother's conception.

Yes, it could be because you're still nursing. Sometimes women don't get their periods back until after breastfeeding and others just have light and sporadic periods. That's why so many women believe they can't get pregnant while nursing but that is a huge myth. The heart fluttering could be anything from too much caffeine to the natural stress and sleeplessness that comes with having a small baby in the house. The safest thing to do is to go to your doctor and let him or her know your symptoms. Take care of yourself.

Probably cuz you are nursing. Or you could be pregnant again. Is that a possibility?
