We still have a couple of months until the primaries. Democrats need to think long and hard about nominating Hillary. There's no way she can win the election next year.

There's still time to rethink this!

Sorry Ben, I'm not a sexist. I'd vote for Dianne Feinstein if she ran for President. Quit playing the gender card.

I'm an Independent voter (former Democrat).

Well, based on their history, no. They have a knack at putting radicals instead of learning the lesson of William Clinton who tried to pull the party to the center (with his wife and VP Gore fighting him the whole way). Gore nearly won due to the lingering popularity of President Clinton (how, with 21 federal indictments, I don't know) but the next Marxist (Kerry) up, going against a weak opponent, lost by a near landslide (3%) - and this with who was then the highly electable Lieberman getting less then 10% of the vote in the primaries.

So, I think the Democrats will throw a way a great opportunity of getting into the White House by putting up another Marxist in Hillary Clinton. Pity the Republicans don't have any outstanding candidates - it'll mean a mediocre President, ie, another vote for the lesser evil event.

While I think it is absurd to speculate about 2016 before Biden, Cuomo et al have said anything about running, I've been steeling myself for this to happen since 2000, actually. And considering the way the American Idol generation turned out for Obama in November, I wonder if the GOP would be better of concentrating on taking over Congress in 2014 and 2016.

Sorry, I think you are very wrong. I think she has a terrific chance at being elected, better than any of her counterparts. I think this because her negatives keep dropping and her favorable numbers keep rising. The more people get to hear her talk, especially in casual settings like talk shows and one on one interviews, they have been warming up to her slowly but surely. Where Hillary is concerned, the importance of that can't be underestimated.

I think the Republicans are making yet another huge mistake by assuming if she is elected it will guarantee them a victory. They underestimate her and overestimate themselves and their own candidates. They say she will get out the Republican vote like nobody else, but in their arrogance they never consider that if she is the nominee the Democrats will get behind her like a tidal wave to ensure another Republican doesn't get into the White House in '08.

Another facet of this is the Independent vote. None of the polls include their ratings, all we're seeing are the Democrat and Republican opinion polls. The fact is that most folks who are Democratic, or unhappy with this war and Independent, will vote for the Democratic nominee in the end - even if they aren't too happy it's Hillary - before they ever vote for a Republican.

Hillary is our best shot to win the white house. On a side note, I think women voters are ready to play the gender card and see a female president. My mainstream answer is this. Don't underestimate Hillary ---she will get out and get the vote. People thought she had no chance in New York, and she went out to the rural areas spoke to --not at ---the people and they believed what she had to say and answered with their nod. She'll get out and do the same thing on a national level. She is a smart, competent and seasoned politician, and she has a handle on what's important to the majority (middle class Americans) and that's what the US needs right now.

Everybody's underestimating Hillary. Even if she's a polarizing figure, that says more about the people who dislike her than it says about her. One thing's for sure, though: She will need a Democratic Congress in order to get things done, because if the Republicans win back the House, we're going to have another Contract on America from the psychos on the Right.

I agree with Dr. Safe Pet. I like the fact that Republicans think she's non-electable it plays into the Clinton play book. They (Republicans) underestimated the Clinton's before, and are doing it again.P.S. women united could easily vote who ever they wanted into the White House (majority rules).

As a woman, I'd love to see a female president.

But Hillary is too divisive, at least for middle America, and if the Republicans put up anyone decent, she'll lose.

If Hillary's the best the Dems have...eek.

I agree that Hilary cannot be elected. The reason is that there are still marginally more Americans who work and pay the extraordinarily high taxes we have in this country. She has promised to raise them yet again, and we cannot afford to keep paying them.
We have federal income taxes,15-35%, we have FICA and medicare taxes at 15% for fica and about 2% for medicare, we have state taxes5-9%, we have sales taxes 7-9%, we have property taxes,???%, we have gasoline taxes, at least 1.00 per gallon, we have sin taxes, 4.00 per pack for cigarettes, and 5-6 dollars per bottle on liquer, we have red light cameras, $100.-$300. per ticket, we have seat belt tickets/taxes at $85.00 per. In addition to all this we have hidden taxes in all the consumables that we get.
Now Hilery is giving even more of our money away. Who is going to pay for all the entitlements that she has planned for us.
By my calculations, even if you make very little money, live in a cheap state, don't own property, have no sins, and drive nowhere, you are still paying 42% of your income to various government agencies.
I think that we have had enough.

I do not agree that Hillary cannot be elected. All polls in the field show her winning. What makes you say this?

Well, maybe they think she could steal it like George Bush did to Al Gore.
