That is one way you could solve it. Another way to simplify without having to use a decimal is

(2*sqrt(4*3)) + (4*sqrt(9*3))
(2*2sqrt3) + (4*3sqrt3)
(4sqrt3) + (12sqrt3)
sqrt3(4 + 12)
sqrt3(16)
16sqrt3

(2√12) + (4√27) =
(2√(4*3)) + (4√(9*3)) =
(2*2√3) + (4*3√3) =
(4√3) + (12√3) =

16√3
which is the form requested.

Well, it says simplified radical form, so that would imply that the answer would contain a radical. So to answer your question, no that is not correct.
