Adam is right about SPIRIT.
Recall the Calgary spirit they had when Detroit knocked them in the 1st round last year, or when they reached deep inside themselves and let Anaheim take the last two games from them in the same round a year before. Should I bring up the clutch performance in Tampa Florida the year before?!
This is why the Flames are the best team EVER!

They're the best team ever for me because I'm originally from Calgary.

They are not in any way the best ever. Mike Keenan will beat them into shape but they will hate him down the road.
The best team ever are the New York Islanders when Billy Smith played net and Denis Potvin on D. They would have won five in a row but for Don Kolharski playing for the Oilers. You could see Peter Pocklingtons signature on the check in his pocket.

First off the flames are the best in the west not vancouver. Plus the leafs suck, I could bet a million dollars that the Flames will the cup 10 years before the leafs do. Finally I think Calgary is the best because of their spirit. If you look back to when we made it the the finals, the spirit of Calgary, and our support for the team was phenomenal, much greater than anything your ever going to see.

just a couple of comments; no they are not the best ever, yes they have the spirit; remember the green hardhat; and yes, only one cup. OH BY THE WAY, how many cups do the Canucks have?
Go Flames.

Because they won the cup on the same night my son was born. I'm generally a Leaf fan but I was in labour and no one would take me to the hospital until the game was over...lol. Everybody in the house had to see MacDonald win so I had to wait.
Any team that has the biggest game of their life on the biggest day of my life is OK in my books.

There appears to be a couple pieces missing from a couple of different puzzles....one missing piece is that the Flames need a real scoring center to play with Iginla and Tanguay. I mean a legitimate goal scorer to make them a triple threat up front. That team is really aging. As for the other puzzle.....what's your handle again?

they are not and the proof is they only have one cup to show for their time in the league, there are about 15-20 other teams in the league which I would consider better franchises

come on, Edmonton showed they've got spirit if not more, hell i remember Edmonton fans singing Oh Canada lodly and Calgary fans whispering it
hockey wise, Kiprusoff is good but inconsistent in the new NHL, Iglina still good, but Tanguay, Huselius, and Langkow got to be better, Huselius and Langkow is but Tanguay is not, but their only better offensively defensively still a question mark
