Actually I agree because I am seriously appalled at this country's pandering to Muslims , before the attacks in 2001 - no College had foot baths , America didn't celebrate Muslim holidays and Muslims were jailed just like everybody else and ate what everyone else did .

Fast forward to 2007 and we have the President of the United States celebrating a Muslim Holiday - in the White house ! Not to mention the Empire State lit up green for Muslims . Muslims can't get educated without foot baths anymore in college and Muslims in jail want a special diet ! This country is pandering to the enemy and I don't understand why , its really absurd . However it is questionable if the US would vote a Muslim in the White House .

I would highly doubt that a fundamentalist Islamic would ever be elected to the presidency of this country given the current and projected demographics of the United States.

I guess I don't get what makes religion so important in the political ring. No fanatic is going to want to do what is needed to get to the White House - it would mean selling out everything they believe. A fanatic isn't going to want to do that. If someone that happens to be Muslim gets in, so what? Look how far Christianity has gotten us in 7 years? I mean, the God fearing President has violated a few of the 10 Commandments, hasn't he?

I think people need to stop worrying about the details and look at what matters most - the issues. Religion is not an issue - security is. And religious affiliation isn't going to save our @$$es, but doing something about Social Security, the national debt and the economy in general will.

I imagine that a person who practiced Islam could be elected president in about 20-30 years. That is how long it should take before the xenophobic damage by our current administration is completely overcome and the U.S. can go back to being a nation of the world instead of a nation for itself.

What?
I hate to break this to you, but in the USA elections are every four years, and in case that you haven't notice next year is election year. Besides, they can hardly decide for a woman or a black man, little less a fanatic nut.
Stop sipping the crack pipe...sheez...talking about fantasy.

You are dreaming. Do you think people from the South and Mid West would cast a vote for any Democrat? Forget it, the majority of people that vote Democratic wouldn't vote for a radical Jihadist.
