I'm not sure "played with" quite describes it but here in Great Britain I feed them regularly in my garden. They like cat food and always a saucer of clean water,NOT milk, they can't digest it.They become very tame and I've taken really close-up photos of them. I encourage them because they eat the gardener's mortal enemy, the slug. I did once care for a baby hedgehog that had been poisoned by slug pellets, I think ,and was wandering around in the middle of the road, looking drunk.Sadly, it died. I would NEVER use slug pellets as I garden totally organically!

Yes, they are incredibly sweet i. In some states its prermitable to have them at all. People in some cases have to wear gloves because they can easily catch dieses from us humans. Plus the vet bill is enormous because you have to find a vet that specializes in hedgehog health as well

yes. a friend of mine has one and he brought it out at a party and handed it to me. it was dark so at first i had no idea what the f*ck it was, let alone that it was actually alive! after i figured out that it was a hedgehog, i took it around and let all the women pet it and tell me how cute it was. i got some that night, too, thanks to the inescapable power of the hedgehog! she just couldn't resist its charm. ha, ha, ha!!

Not really. I used to get a hedgehog who would wander around my garden when I was little, I remember that I used to follow him around taking his photo. He seemed friendly enough, but I wasn't brave enough to pick him up. lol :-)

Yes, my granddaughter has one and he is adorable. Stays sleeping most of the day, and then plays at night. Unless we bother him too much and then he just curls into a ball and ignores us. They are nice pets, clean and cute.
