Surprised nobody has mentioned it yet, but the Pats will be playing games in December and January, and that is a bit different than playing a passing game in October, or playing indoors in Indianapolis.
The Pats have yet to show how they can play when the weather or a pass defense like the Steelers and my Giants have slows down Brady and forces them to the ground.
Do you really see in a wintery game Maroney leading the Pats to victory?
The Giants have a tough schedule in the next few weeks. How they play the Pats will be based on how worn they are after that schedule(injuries), where they are in their own race with the 'Boys and other things. But, if it is the typical cold winter day, Brady will have his hands filled. Winds and potential snow can play a big factor, and if you slow Brady down, it's over. It was not like that with the '72 Dolphins.
Miami had beautiful weather all year for their 1972 home games and they had the best rushing attack ever, not just a single rusher, that year in Csonka, Kiick and Mercury Morris. 3 rushers with over 1000 yards, and they each played different types of games behind a line with 2 Hall of Famers.
No, I don't see them at 19-0. But Miami did not have to go 19-0. They had a shorter season (14 games). They only had to go 17-0.

As huge of a Patriots fan I am (non-bandwagon), I do not believe the Patriots will go 16-0. Look at the reality here. Tonight's match-up wasn't a murder by the Patriots, it wasn't a match-up where Bill Bellichick ran up the score. The Patriots had a difficult time even surviving for that matter, they came back to win the match with little hope left. Tonight's match could've gone either way. Both teams, the Colts and the Patriots, are evenly matched. Either one of them could've easily picked up the victory. And that's what makes the Patriots not winning 16 games in a row. They need to struggle to survive, when facing a good defense. The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the best defenses, if not the best, in the NFL. They are going to have a hard time surviving against them and I wouldn't be suprised if the Steelers crushed them. 15-1 in my opinion, and hey, that's good enough!

I believe that the Steelers and Giants have a legitimate chance of beating the Patriots. The Colts exposed the Patriots' weaknesses. Giants have a great pash rush with Umenyiora and Strahan. The Steelers have a great smashmouth offense and they have a great defence.
The Colts were at half strenght because Marvin Harrison, Tony Ugoh, and Keiho were all out, not to mention Anthony Gonzalez got hurt in the game, so they were down to backup WR.

I see the Pats triumphing out and the Dolphins triumphing a million. The Dolphins have misplaced 4 or 5 video games by way of in trouble-free terms a field objective i think of they are going to win a game. THe Pats truly they have in trouble-free terms performed to nonblowout video games.

If they beat the Steelers or the Giants, then they probably will. If they get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs some of their momentum may or may not be gone. Whatever happens, it should be an interesting rest of the season.

This was the biggest challenge of the year and it pretty much locks the AFC Championship game in Foxboro. They could very well win out. The next big challenge is Pittsburgh.

No. Once they clinch the division and home field they will rest their players. Winning a Super Bowl is more important to the Pats. Could they "Yes" will they "No"....

The question is...should they...i think they should rest their players in the last game...I'm a Pats fan and I want the 72' Dolphins record intact....

they have the skill to do it, but they probably wont
they will get lazy after they clinch the playoffs or homefield advantage and start back-ups to avoid injury
but if they start the starters all season, they easily could do it
