Why are some guys very mean to girls?I'm an Asian girl & most of my girlfriends are Asian too.One of my classmates who's from New Zealand tends to be very rude towards us girls especially.He seems to think we're beneath us & usually talks to us using words such as freak,*****,dirt & so on.Making fun of us is one of his favourite pastimes as well(usually taking the joke too far)
This is making us miserable & driving us crazy.We don't know how to stop him.Is there anything we can do?Or is there at least an explanation for such behaviour?

I would suggest that you and your friends simply ignore him. He is obviously a jerk. Don't let it get to you, he probably loves the reaction.

like some of the previous contributors stated, guys are jerks, but I being a guy know all about this. guys are tough towards girls espacially so they can feel stronger, get noticed and hide their true emotions. Underneath their tough exterior lies a passionate and caring person, unless they turn out to be a psychopath then skip town and change your ways. Now for a method on how to stop this neusance, if you and your friends alike show interest in him in any way, show some affection to him and be nice, or fight back fire with fire. Or get psychological with him and learn some tricks to get him confused, or just get an adult to intervene. But do remember, "an eye for an eye tends to make the whole world go blind."

Sometimes guys will act mean towards girls that they like. It might simply be his way of trying to get reactions from you. Usually this is more common with younger kids though. There is an old assumption that if a little boy hits a little girl on the playground.... it means he has a secret crush on her.
However, I have no idea if that's why this guy is being mean to you. Maybe he's just a jerk. I don't know him.

Maybe it has something to do with his home life, maybe his dad is a jerk to him so he takes it out on you girls, maybe he has a problem with asians that possibly stems from his home life. It's hard to say, I would just stay clear of the guy as much as possible, it's probably a good idea to tell someone at school, maybe a teacher or something, just in case he does something really mean or just gets to out of hand, it's safe to let someone of authority know so they know he is the problem and can deal with him. The only way he can harm you is by you internalize what he is saying. Also if you are in New Zealand your school will have an anti bullying policy, use this, no one should be demeaned.
