If you want to be in your college's network you will have to have an email address from your school. If your school doesn't offer email addresses you can use any email address to sign up for a regional network. If for some reason your personal email won't work try contacting facebook and let them know of your problem. Hope this helps.

You can sign up for Facebook without a college e-mail address. The college e-mail address will simply allow you to join a network for your school. The advantage of being part of a network is that you will be able to see pages of other people on your network who will allow you to see your pages, where if you don't have any network you can only see friends' pages. You might want to check first if there is a network for your school. If there is, you should be able to get an e-mail address from your college. This will be different for every school, but you can hopefully find out about it by learning about computing resources for students. Try clicking around on the home page for your school. As the previous answerer mentioned, even if you can't join a college network you can probably join a network for the local geographical area where you live and possibly for your employer.
