Let's say we 'work' together. We do competitive work on a variety of projects. These are 'aqaintances', thought they were 'friends' but with what they are doing I guess they made it clear they arent.

I am praised for work. I usually get the benefits from every project. They so called 'friends' are now excluding me and blowing me off. In front of eachother they jest and make smart comments about me like i'm not even there and cant hear them. They have also COPIED and STOLE my work and tried to pass it off as their own. Plagerism shall we say. Even after 'plagarizing' they still failed on the project. I guess the person who decided thought it still wasnt as good as mine or they noticed it was my work.

If they are trying to copy my work and follow my lead why are they mocking and exluding me at the same time?

Also I helped this 'friend' with one project and basically did it for him- the rest of the crew had nothing to do with it and afterwards he goes and thanks them & leavs me

I don't know what business you're in but it sounds very cut-throat. That's the way the business world works in many areas. In-house competition can be bloodier than competition between businesses, for the reasons you included...by helping a co-worker, that person learned your "moves," and used that knowlege to advance his team, not you.

They mock and exclude you because that's how they advance (or think they will advance) in your work environment.

You need to either accept that and work accordingly, or find a healthier environment to work in. Good luck, sweetie. It sounds like you need a dose of it!

Well, it sounds like they are afraid you are getting a little too big for your britches. No one wants to feel inadequate, so I guess they figured, if they can't beat you by doing better, they will pull you down to their size. Only you can let them do this by showing you are hurt by it. I would ignore it and do the best I can. This type of behavior is puerile and all too common. It won't be the last time it happens to you. It is annoying if you let it bother you and then it will eat you up. Move on and just keep moving.

Please avoid such horrible people, they are just making you feel sad, and that is not was intended for you. People like that are just green with envy because you get all the compliments and benefits. Blow them off the next time, and tell them to grow up, and act their age. Being such jerks are only reserved for 4th graders with their heads screwed on backwards.
