= (4x - 40) / (x - 10)
= 4(x - 10) / (x - 10)
= 4

so is this (4x%x-10)-(40%x-10) so you multiply by x-10 and it all cancel out. so now you have 4x-40. You can't really do anymore to it.

= 4(x-10)/(x-10)
=4
