That is a really good question.

Bart was in 4th grade when I was in 2nd. Now I'm in grad school, and he's still in 4th grade. Now I find myself relating more to Homer, the family man.

It's amazing how there's a target demographic for all ages, and even more amazing how people such as myself were able to relate from one character to another during the show's ca. 20 years on the air.

It seems that they have no choice but to stay kids. I like how in some of the shows they have a futuristic point-of-view of Bart and Lisa, and I believe that's as close as they'll ever get to growing up!

it is the way all cartoons are. The state Springfield is in hasn't ever been printed on the coach. i imagine it is assume to be unknown. This has continuously been a warm subject matter among Simpsons followers and the writers have consistently teased us about it with jokes contained in the coach. Al Jean as I remember reported in a audio statement on i imagine The Simpsons Season 5 DVD that Springfield is in Massachusetts. He would were merely joking round, it is complicated to inform in spite of the indisputable fact that.

They are like Charlie Brown, Dennis the Menace, and all the other cartoon characters. They can never grow old. (BTW, this was a great question.)
