What do you want to know? I believe they discovered it in N.A. Why should they schlepp it over? It certainly didn't grow in Siberia.

No . . . it's generally believed that corn originated in the Americas, and spread to the rest of the world by way of European contact.

It's still not real common in Asia . . .
