I wanna go get Call of Duty 4 from there tomorrow evening but I may not have enough cash and it's easiest to write a check...

I plan on going there to pick up Call of Duty 4 tomorrow evening and I dunno if I'll have enough cash on hand by then, writing a check may mean the difference between missing out on a copy and me getting one before they sell out...they don't open til 10 tomorrow morning, at which time I'll be in schol...so I can't call, cuz I won't get an answer

best bet is to call them. I would ask this way: Do you take a personal check if I have ID ? Rather than just ask if they take checks. That makes YOUR check look better to them.

You have this all backwards. Why are you playing a next gen system but still using archaic forms of payment. Try applying for a debit card instead, they are accepted everywhere. If your bank doesnt offer one switch banks. If you are thinking of floating a check, a debit card run as a credit card would be much wiser, as check processing has gotten down to 1-2 days. Also COD4 looks terrific, if you are on PS3 Ill see you online.
