Because the Patriots have have easy pickings for the first six games doesn't mean everyone is a patsy. The Colts have a very formidable team, strong on defense. It took a couple for 4th period pass plays to bring the Pats back. Scores are not run up against good defenses.

Because the two best teams of this year were playing. They both got there by working hard and making the right plays. I'm a Pats fan 100%, but the Colts played very well. Neither team was going to give up points without a fight.
sexy...- that's a silly comment. the pats are 9-0 and they aren't good?? hah .....way to jump on the 'my team's losing so i hate the good teams' bandwagon

Run up the score? They didn't even get the lead until the end of the game. They were the better team and won, but they were far from dominant. Give the Colts their due, they looked like a very good team outside of a couple of turnovers that the tough Patriots D forced.

Brady already threw some INT's and the Colts are probably the only team that can effectively rush him and get a cheap shot that the officials wouldn't call, so he decided to play it safe. But don't worry Pats fans, I'm sure you'll get like 60+ points next week to make for only 24 this week.

I asked this earlier, It was because they were being respectful. That was the answer I got. Uncharacteristic . . . I think it would have been stupid not to take the knee when the game is over. Whenever a team needlessly continues playing, it puts those players on the field at risk of injury. How would people feel if Brady was taken out by a clean hit during one of those garbage drives. They make millions of $ to play not to be injured needlessly.

Ok, I'm going to break with my usual trash talking and give props to the Colts. Belichick wasn't about to try to run up the score and risk giving the ball back to Manning with 2:00 left.
Save the running up the score for the rest of the scrubs on their schedule, you have the big win, don't risk it.
After the Pats wrapped up the game I was expecting all kinds of insults hurled at my entourage and myself, but the most I heard was "good game" from the Colts fans. I admire fans like that.
Bottom line, good game, we'll probably see you in January, we'll spank you then too. :-)

Same reason the Colts couldn't run up the score on the Pats.
Talk about evenly matched teams.

They couldn't because the Colts have a great defense - the best defense the Pats have faced this season.

Because the Colts are the best team they have played and the best team they will play. But winning is winning, it doesnt matter if u win by 1 point or by 100.

They were incapable of running up the score. One might even observe that the Pats were fortunate to escape with the win.
