For me the explaination of love that would encompass ALL of the examples you listed would be the true desire for that person to have nothing but happiness

1Corinthians 13:4 Love is long suffering and kind
Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up.
Does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth.
Love is two old people in a nursing home after lving together 65 years and trying to take care of each other until one of them dies.
It is not a roll in the hay, but a life time committment.

Love is measured by how much you would be willing to sacrifice for that person. IE, if their life was threatened.
Being loved is a person accepting you and not asking you to sacrifice for them. VERY IMPORTANT otherwise the person could be taking advantage of you and not love you for you.
Persistent love is doing it anyway because you know they'll like it. (Just don't hurt yourself in the process or do something you will regret.)

Love is a commitment of ones will, which expresses itself in obedience to the principles of charity: patience, kindness, trust, hope, forgiveness, reconciliation, humility, empathy and selflessness. These are the characteristics of real love for EVERY human relationship.

There are three types of love, one is family love, love for a partner, and love for a object, a career, money, TV show or basically anything.

Love is the look of security in your childs eyes when you take them out of their crib in the morning.
Love is thinking about someone all day long even though you see them all the time.

Love is valuing the needs of the other person more than you value your own and backing it up with action. Saying, "I love you," is a whole lot easier than proving it.
Love is sacrifice.

To me there are two types of love.
There is love that is between friends and family members, people who you want to see happy, and you care for...
And there is romantic love, where you trust someone else with your heart, and hope they dont break it.

Love is when you can sit quietly in a room with someone that is close to you and get that cozy feeling of contentment.
