i dont know, i can't find a good reason.
but i think society has the idea something is wrong with a person who has no friends...like they could be the next ted bundy or BTK killer.

The reason why people only assume that it is bad to have no friends is the way friends back you up. They help you in situations.
Sometimes, it is also good to stay a safe distance from 'friends' considering the way that in some cases, friends cheat others into getting what they want.
I personally do not think that it is bad to have no friends because I've gone perfectly fine without them.
In conclusion, many people assume that having no friends is bad, but can you answer this:
Would you rather have friends who stab you in the back or no friends at all?

Depend on the reasons why one does not have friends. If one never had friends and cannot form bonds, yes this is a bad thing. If one looses friends because he/she abuses those relationships, yes another bad thing. If one moved and is in a new area that is very rural and family oriented, making new friends may be difficult due to interests and cultural differences, this is not a bad thing it is just a challenging time. Also as one becomes elderly, friends may pass away and there is no one to replace those friendships, this is an unfortunate reality.

Because, We, As Humans, Usually Need the Presence, Responses and Support of other People. It's just the Way things Work. It's Possible, to Live a Life in Solitude, but some People can't Do that. They Were Built to Interact, and What not.

It suggests you don't fit the mold and that makes people nervous/scared. Friends can help to keep you sane and relationships in general help you to understand other people. For example, if you have a friend, you would be more likely to learn how to avoid offending people. Having friends can also help with you self-esteem and general happiness. I think a lot of people go through loner periods though and it isn't a big issue.

I don't know. I guess it's society's fault for assuming that a person needs to chat/shop/share with people in order to feel normal. I don't have any friends and it suits me fine; I'd rather be by myself anyway. Friends are too much work, and I don't need anyone to validate any aspect of my life.

In this day and time most people meet people through work. And many people are close friends with thier family members instead. So it all depends on who is doing the judging.lol God Bless you.

People who have good friends are usually healthier and happier because they have people to confide in, and who can support them and take an interest in their life. On the other hand, I think it's much better to have no friends than to have bad friends who bring you down and make you decidedly less healthy.

Try to make a few friends, but it's important to have friends that are honest and going somewhere with their lives. If all you have are party friends then you really have no friends.
