He's in H.S. in drama. Are flowers expected or what else would be more appropriate? I know flowers go to the girls but, don't know about guys.

Only you really know this answer. Maybe the situation is what is making you unsure. What would you give your son if his football team just won state? Or, if he just accomplished something awesome? Anything that shows how proud you are of it will be great.

What about throwing a party for the cast? Just go with the flow and get him something that you know he enjoys, or has been mentioning lately. The holidays are around, so I'm sure he has dropped some hints. Pick one of those and offer it for a congrats gift.

Congratulation gifts are difficult these days. A keychain with the name of the show and year engraved on it or on a disc attached to it. Then other discs can be given for future achievements.

What I've gotten instead of flowers is balloons... or sometimes a gift card somewhere (like to the movies).

Sometimes all a kid requires is affirmation of a job well done. Taking him out for pizza wouldn't hurt either.
