You must establish that you receive ZERO support from your parents, financially speaking. This means you must show that you were not claimed on the previous year's income tax filing by your parents. You must show that you are not living in their domicile as well (rental agreements work well for this), and that you maintain your own household - utility bills & paycheck stubs work well for this.
This is a problem that many college students face. I suggest you read the FAFSA carefully. There may be additional things that you need to do.

properly i replaced into observed at start and now i'm 20, and no that's no longer criminal in any respect. actual, once you turn 18 no one has custody of you, you're legally an person. whether, whilst a start parent surrenders their rights, they sign over each little thing to the adoptive mothers and dads. The regulation seems at adoptive mothers and dads comparable to the different parent who has custody of their baby, the start mom has with regard to an identical rights as a stranger. I reconnected with my start mom whilst i replaced into sixteen, and that i've got an incredible relationship along with her, yet she has no criminal rights over me.

Get yourself a good paying job and your own apartment. When you pay your own bills and act responsible, they will see it. They are your parents though and I don't care how "old" you get, you are still their little boy. Face it.
