If it runs good and had been taken care of, then keep it for a little while longer. Those cars were built to go just about forever with oil changes. If you have to trade it in, remember how high gas is going to be with oil near $100 a barrel.

I had a "1981" Oldsmobile Delta 88 and traded it in for a 1997 Oldsmobile Delta 88,. wonderful car. Then again I always drove Oldsmobiles, too bad they aren't made anymore. The1997, I traded in because I hit a deer and after the repair shop fixing, I kept having problems with it, every week it was something else.
If yours is still working good, hold on to it for awhile longer.

I agree with bruce s,why trade it off, there isn't a car built today like a 81 olds delta 88.if the body and interior is in good shape and runs good you could sell it as a private owner and easily get a thousand to twelve hundred out of it.hold on to it for three or four years.Nothing rides like an oldsmobile.

the 1st issue to do is bypass to Autozone and spend a greenback procuring commencing fluid. do no longer use lots of it, that's harsh stuff. Take the cap off the air field so which you will see the air clear out, pull out the air clear out. Then have a chum spray the commencing fluid into the intake on a similar time as you attempt to start it. If it starts off, you have a gas device issue. If it does not, you have an ignition issue. The gas device is very undemanding and can certainly be tracked down however the ignition has fairly some factors. bypass attempt it.

Hi,The car you have is too old to trade in and get what you want out of it.It will be better to sell it your self and put the money toward a down payment.I take it that you haven't dealt with car dealers or car salesmen,so the best advice I can give you is take someone that knows about the mechanics of cars and is a good negotiator to get you the best deal on a car or you might not be too happy with the deal you got.

1981? Lets see, its blue book value now would be less than 100 bucks, you probably would get more by takin it to the scrap yard and sellin it for the weight.
