Probably because they're idiots who think anyone who isn't/doesn't act like their idea of the "perfect Christian" are going to Hell when in reality they're sinning just as much by judging others (which im almost positive is God's job).

A lot of people feel guilty when they feel good. Like they must be doing something wrong unless they are suffering all the time. This has deep roots in the puritanical mindset of the earliest American colonists and the society they started that we're still a part of, but it can also be seen in many cultures around the world.

i would think it has to do with religion...i agree with the first answer......but i don't see anything wrong with it. It's your body and if you want to self pleasure yourself then I don't see the sin in that

Its probably religion and upbringing. They've been inculcated that it is wrong to do that, and will feel guilty bout it
