first and foremost, there is no sun. second, if you are not anywhere near water, then the humidity in the air will be low because of lack of water. this low humidity will not hold any heat. so at night, it is cold. also, this low humidity does not allow the formation of clouds. These clouds act as a blanket and hold in heat. no blanket, heat goes away.
