3 of my walls is a dark redish color & my one wall is a very pale yellow & I need some brightness in my room & I had an idea of a curtain of lights. The one strand goes along the part in between my wall & ceiling & than strings of lights hang down. I was thinking of putting some sheer unflammable fabric over it so it sparkles. I've looked everywhere on the web & can't find anything about it besides Christmas lights. If you know of where they sell it or if you have them, please please please let me know! thank you! :D

"Christmas" lights are one method. "Rope" lights are another. (Rope lights can often be found year round, at lighting stores, hardware stores, etc)

Another option might be LED's. I'm not familiar with anyone selling them in a 'string' just yet, but I know you can buy them in bulk quantities, they require very little voltage, and last for years. Something you might look into. (I know they are used in some puzzles, and artwork...I think it might be fairly easy to apply the same technology to this application)

Good Luck

Ooh. Antique. I lovelovelove!!! Actually, get a few gold and brassy accents to your furnishings and my a few creamy tones. Look for ancient, smooth stuff like filigree, lace, and brassy steel accents and darkish, muted colors. It'll seem lovely. I suppose zou would desire to wallpaper your room with ivory wallpaper with little swirly floral styles, however that is your alternative. Light gold could paintings as good, however do not move overboard with metallics. Just decide on a base color(black, white, brown, tan, beige...) and your favorite color(trim). I could endorse: inexperienced/brown blue/brown black/purple white/purple white/rainbow Just use something base color (or a an identical colour) you prefer for the furnishings, and a trim color for the pillows/rugs/curtains/decorations. You must fear approximately the colossal stuff first, and get round to placing the completing touches later. You would additionally use a stencil to color styles at the partitions, and comprise that sample into different locations of the room. Also, move on google and seek for mannequin rooms. You can get fairly well suggestions from them. Go out to random retail outlets and skim via for suggestions. Maybe that lamp would paintings with that sample you prefer, or the rugs fit the pillows. Do something you prefer. It's your room, and also you must find it irresistible. Good Luck and Happy Decorating!
