i am a die hard pirates of the caribbean fan. it was my favorite ride as a child and my favorite movies right now. but i want the legacy to go on. i am tired of hearing,"we don't know if there will be a pirates 4". i need to know now, will there be a pirates of the caribbean 4 once and for all? and show me proof with links that prove that it's confirmed.

There is no confirmation that there will be a fourth movie. People can post yes there will be and give sites that state they are looking into a fourth without Captain Jack BUT until something is posted on www.imdb.com I wouldn't hold it as truth.
www.imdb.com is the most credible source on the web. Just keep checking with them.

it has no longer been shown. in accordance to an editorial (i forgot which one yet you are able to look it up by potential of looking pirates of the caribbean 4 in google) that johnny depp remains interested in makeing a fourth installment (presented the script is sturdy) yet keira knightly and orlando bloom reportedly made a bypass for doing a fourth installment. i'm guessing that why they made the ending of the 0.33 action picture how that's. the fourth one, if ever they're making one, would be a spin-off. probably following jack sparrow and yet another bunch of characters. :D

You need to calm down... there's likely going to be a 4th movie.
They take a long time to make you know.
Johnny Depp said he'd do it if the script was good. Kiera Knightly said she didn't want to do it again.
I'm a die hard Pirates of the Caribbean fan, as well! I also loved the ride, I went on it when I was 2.

From all the stuff I've read online there is not going to be one. I can't give links, I also am a large fan and just did a PCB#4 look up. The actors feel it's time to move on and several of them do not feel they will be ready or willing to make another.

Nobody can give you that answer that doesn't have a crystal ball. But I can tell you that the writers of the first three films, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, are not currently working on such a project. That's straight from the horse's mouth. They are actually working on a Lone Ranger film at the moment.

i highly doubt there is going to be a fourth one because at the end of the third movie after the credits they had a ten years later segment where will finally met his son for the first time

well you can tell those who look at movie news.
The crew of the first three decided after making 2 and 3 back to back they would take a indefinte break before Part 4
there is no set date for production or release.

I loved these movies but I really hope there is not. I would not want any of these people to get stuck in one type of role.This has happened before.
