Don't bother, it won't reset the password (laptops actually have decent security for their BIOS passwords which are stored in memory that isn't wiped when power is removed).

If you want the password reset you'll have to give it to Acer along with proof that you legally own it and whatever they charge to reset it.

If you aren't willing to pay or have a stolen laptop then there's nothing you can do to make it work.

Just remove the memory compartment cover and the battery is right there
