Neither is "better" than the other.
I manage a 600+ PC network with blends of both AMD & Intel ..... I've yet to discover proof that one is more reliable or better than the other.

AMD will, however, give you a much bigger bang for the buck.

As for your two links .... please go with a mainstream brand if buying a laptop. A PC is a lot more than the sum of its parts, & firms like HP, Toshiba or Lenovo put a lot of research & engineering into their final products.

To Phil...
You can't go by a network environment. at my other job, i manage over 1000+ computers through 35 buildings. Both with AMD and Intel chips. Several test have Proved that Intel chips provide better performance right now then AMD. In a network environment, most computer are not put to the max. Their really isn't any true data comparison in a network environment

AMDs nowhere stand with Intel. inspite of much less clock-velocity, i might choose Intel through fact it may provide bigger cache, reliability, greater appropriate dealing with, greater appropriate existence and greater appropriate kind-have confidence. it relatively is why Intel laptops are dearer than AMDs and additionally through greater appropriate engineering.
