I have a friend who bought a desktop with the ff specs:
-Intel Quad Core Q6600
-MSI P35 Neo-F motherboard
-2x Apacer 1GB DDR800
-Seagate 320GB Sata
-Sparkle 8600GT 512MB 128-bit graphic card

the problem:
-everytime he plays DOTA of Warcraft3 and GG client (for online multiplaying) he gets a blue screen white text error then reboots by itself.

-I've changed the memory, hard drive and graphic card... and he still gets the blue screen thing. However, when he plays other games like NFS Carbon, he doesn't get the blue screen thing.

-the only parts that I have not change is the processor and board because I don't have any spare board that supports quad core.

hope someone could help.. tnx a lot!!

Could be a problem with device drivers , hardware or software . This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html

Cheap motherboards especially with VIA chipsets are known to cause the BSOD. Always invest in a good Motherboard. You can try flashing the bios with an update version, but they say the problem was related to a poor northbridge bus.

Blue screen white text, Thats software , not hardware !!!! Uninstall the GG client restart and then uninstall war craft restart install war craft and play the game, then if you must , install gg client. Check war crafts forums for a fix for that issue. It is not uncommon.

first of all, dropping ANY player into the toilet would probably mess it up for good. I don't believe that the BSoD would occur if an iTunes were updated. Never heard of that before. I honestly don't believe that a nano would cause this. It could just be Vista (worst...OS...ever)

Its either graphics related, or a quad core function error. difficult to disect the problem online.

Isn't BSOD normally an OS/firmware/driver issue - not a hardware problem ?
