i know you want to get a little, :) but is it worth hurting yourself? there are other ways of getting pleasure. So take your time and look out for the long run.

All the other answers sound great, but I would like to add that after pushin that big bastard out your not even gonna feel a dick until you do some serious kegals at this point, other than that i'd say let your body heal itself(as much as it will).

well my doctor told me 16 days but be careful because you are the most fertile in the first 3 months after that baby is born.. and your not allowed to go back on the pill or any contraceptives until about 2 months after..

Probably not. Your uterus is still healing from the placenta detatching. If you really can't wait, you might want to make an early appointment with your health care provider just to get a professional opinion.

Normally it's 5-6 weeks. 17 days sounds awful early as you're still healing. Consult your doctor about this, they'll know what's best for you.

The Dr says 6 weeks. But I have had three kids and I think that as long as you feel like you are 100% healed and you are on birth control then its ok. Hope this helps.

6 weeks. Even if you are feeling great before this, your body needs to heal on the INSIDE.
