In my family we have a tradition where we start 13 nights before Halloween and watch a scary movie. We love the ones full of suspense and drama. Slasher/blood and guts or Satanic are out. Some of our fav's are: Watcher in The Woods, The Changeling, Something Wicked this way comes, Lady in white, White noise. etc.
We are looking for some new ones to watch next year. the kids say that the ones we have are outdated and we need to get some better ones. Personally, I love the classic horror films.
So, what is your favorite scary movie that is PG-13 or below and why?

Signs - scary soundtrack, creepy atmosphere and superb acting the convinces you, "OMG, they really ARE in danger".

I would recommend Carrie. It's not really that scary until the ending, but it IS mysterious, and will have you wondering about the existance of telekenesis.
I would also recommend The Sixth Sense, The Village and Lady in the Water - all M. Night Shamalayn

haha, maybe the grudge 2, because alotta people were screaming at the theater... its a little old now, but it was sorta scary!
