Because he is not commited to the marriage ...he has no morals and because he is very selfish and self centered!! It's the lowest form of disrespect a man could ever show toward a woman that is his wife and just had a new baby. I would make him get tested for every type of std out there if you are going to continue on with him? If you do remain in this relationship you get the both of you into marriage counseling immediately! If this were me I would be so shattered I could not even think to look at him. Loving him or not I could never feel the same about him again let alone ever think that I could trust him in my life. I would probably need to leave him for the hurt and pain that he caused me especially at this time in my life when we should be so happy with our new baby. This would just ruin everything I could have ever felt for him.

Because some humans (both men and women) are stupid. Sometimes men want to run from responsibility and try and recapture their youth/single-ness. Some men made bad choices in marriage... and no amount of having children will make that "all better" (not that I'm condoning the action AT ALL).
If you someone you know has done this, or you are party to it... the woman may be better off (as may her child) without him. If he is genuinely sorry, takes responsibility and is willing to go to counseling or their clergy... then MAYBE.

You made a bad choice when you chose that man as your husband.
Not all men would do this. The majority of men stay with their wives overnight at the hospital, are so overwhelmed with the love they have experienced and are so proud of their wives that they don't want to go out or even leave her side.

Because he let his "little head think for his big one"!!! Not to justify it by any means, because there is none.........BUT you women, don't be in such a hurry to judge / condemn all guys
for the actions of a few stupid / selfish ones.....And don't start screaming for a divorce so quickly !!! Women DO do their share of selfish / stupid stuff..... I have known many guys that have had their wives cheat, sometimes several times, with some even ending up with the woman pregnant with the "other guy's kid, and the marriage CAN BE SAVED !!!

Because he's being VERY selfish and thinking only of himself and not about his wife, and the fact that her body is healing from having a baby.

I think a lot of people that answered underestimate the sex drive of men. It is probably the most intense urge a man has. Biologically speaking it is that urge that brought humanity to where it is today. That said I don't agree with a man who does this but I can understand it. All one has to do is watch TV and see what otherwise upstanding men will do for sex. It's insane. The "need" for sex as a man is overpowering at times and not all can control it. How many marriages are ended because the husband is not satisfied sexually? I would say a fair many. I have heard many men say that that "they wanted so sleep with somebody". Men feel much more "connected" to a woman with whom they have a sexual relationship. Should a woman stop having sex with a man is the surest way to end that relationship.

Because he's a selfish pig who thinks he can have it all. You can only hope his wife finds out and takes him for all he's got, and he never sees his wife or child again.
Then, you get him hooked up with someone who will do a "Lorena Bobbitt" on him. THERE'S justice!

Sorry to hear that....he should be more supportive to you. No sure why he did that but feel it strange that he did. If i was a female I don't think I would forgive him, particularly now he has more responsibility.
