False hope because you learn from it. No hope would cause complete shut-down.

Most people have to have hope to survive, even if it is just the hope, that hope will come to them in the future, if they just hang in a little bit longer. False hope is most likely better, than no hope, but when the bubble bursts later, it could be very painful.

no hope, false hope at least keeps you going long enough to find something to have real hope in
