Just curious - I'm not stating my opinion either way.

Hmm..I'm just watching something on the History channel, don't know why asking a poll type question signifies that I am mentally ill.

I talked about this for the longest time today. I am such a big believer that it was. There's just so much I have to say on this topic that I'm not even going to get into it. If you're really interested I can give you some websites to look at and books to check out. I also have a few documentaries that I could send you. Once you see this stuff it's hard to think that it wasn't.

Nope.

The internet film “Loose Change,” which attempts to show that 9/11 was an inside job, is a collection of falsehoods & distortions that has been totally refuted.

To see an explanation of any claim in the film, go to the massive website called “Screw Loose Change” which is at

POPULAR MECHANICS:

Pop Mechanics has published a book and a website utterly destroying the conspiracy theory.

NOTE: Popular Mechanics is a collection of opinions of famous experts. That's why it's so powerful. See:

http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html

The only way Pop Mechanics can be wrong is if they either misquoted the experts or the experts are wrong. Not very likely.

Example:

Pop Mechanics says that Professor Bazant (Northwestern Dept of Civil Engineering) is one of only 14 people to win the Prager Award in engineering. He first described the collapse mechanism as follows: http://www.debunking911.com/ProgressiveCollapseWTC-6-23-2006.pdf

This article says the towers collapsed from jets alone (impact & fire). There is zero need to have “thermite” or “bombs.”

If Pop Mechanics is a liar, then what part of this is a lie?

9-11 was just a sign that America had not done its job as far as protecting the country. I had talked to many people before then about the fact that with all the terrorism overseas, we wondered when it would hit here and 9-11 was our answer. We were ignoring the news from around the world and so conceited that we felt no one would dare attack us and then we are shocked when we start to have the same terrorism problems as the rest of the world. If anything, I am surprised that something like 9-11 didn't happen sooner than it did.

oh lord! no...no...and yet again....no...

"To investigate 16 of the most prevalent claims made by conspiracy theorists, POPULAR MECHANICS assembled a team of nine researchers and reporters who, together with PM editors, consulted more than 70 professionals in fields that form the core content of this magazine, including aviation, engineering and the military.

In the end, we were able to debunk each of these assertions with hard evidence and a healthy dose of common sense. We learned that a few theories are based on something as innocent as a reporting error on that chaotic day. Others are the byproducts of cynical imaginations that aim to inject suspicion and animosity into public debate. Only by confronting such poisonous claims with irrefutable facts can we understand what really happened on a day that is forever seared into world history."

conspiracies abound...and none of them...NONE have any standing of fact...none...they are products of fertile imaginations and hatred of the current president....

as for the person above who said Bush knew about the bombings before they happened...i would just like to say...

BS... he knew SOMETHING was going to happen...SOMEWHERE... SOMETIME....the CIA, NSA, FBI knew SOMETHING...maybe with planes was going to occur...

they didn't have the date, the time or the method of attack...and no one...NO ONE ever dreamed they would crash airliners into buildings... this is a big country...with lots of targets...how do you know which will be hit? and by what method they will be attacked???

so...you are the president...you know something is going to happen....somewhere...some time....you don't know specifics...but you know chatter has been busy and it is something big.....what do you have do?

would you round up all the dark skinned people living in the US who may or may not be a threat? what do you do with them if you do decide to round them up?? i mean look at the trouble we are having with gitmo..and we know those men are terrorists..

what do you suppose would happen if bush ...or clinton for that matter, because he knew as well... anyway what do you suppose would happen if the president all of a sudden started rounding up all the muslims and put them into "secure" areas? they could announce it was because they knew something...was going to happen somewhere....some time....

do you think the american public would have stood for that? might have saved the twin towers and 3000+ lives, but would we as a people, tolerate concentration camps for muslims?

hell, we are still beating ourselves up over the camps for the japanese during WWII..and those were meant to protect, not to punish them...

no...we would never have stood for it...nor should we ...

the twin towers happened because militant islamafascists high jacked airliners and crashed them into the twin towers and the pentagon.... bad evil men, fighting for a bad evil cause....

not bush...not cheney....no conspiracy, other than OBL and his plan to further the cause of mohammad around the world...

No, there are easier ways for the government to get things done. Plus why would the government kill thousands of people, and then be forced to deal with a hurting economy as a result, as well as creating new airplane laws, ect.

Yes it was an inside job, 100% fact,
anyone who says otherwise, has not done their homework.
Some people still seem to believe the lies that Popular Mechanics, and FOX news have dished out, but they are just propaganda.
I think in the future, they will slowly start to realize they have been fooled.

Yet there are also people who believe it was an inside job, but their fear will not allow them to admit the truth.

(btw History channel is owned partly by Hearst pub. the same people that own Popular Mechanics)

I think that the government knew that something might happen, but did take it seriously. There have been many "terrorist attacks" that have been uncovered, like the one in Miami. People worry about terrorist attacks too much. Twenty years ago we didn't worry about attacks like this. Yes we did worry about the communism and nuclear attacks.

No.

If it was, there are criminals on both sides. The liberals would die for something to be able to impeach Bush with. If they had anything, I mean anything, they would use it. There was nothing, is nothing and will never be nothing to prove it was an inside job.
