If you were allergic to the pill you'd know within 12 hours. I've been on the pill for 6 years and haven't had any reactions. They have to list all of the things that *could* happen so that they are not sued if something is to happen. The likelihood of having something happen is very slim. Plus you've been seen by a doctor, and that doctor (should) know if you are allergic to anything that's in the pill.

Birth control pills, by and large, are very safe. I just wonder why you're taking them if you want to have another baby. This will make sure you don't.

I don't think the pill will actually straighten out your periods so they are regular.

If I wanted to have a baby, I'd miss 3 pills right in the middle of the cycle, and have sex. Or, you could get the ovulation kits and keep checking until you find a period of days and have intercourse.

You're not going to react. If anything you may feel better. I have early menopause, and my birth control pill perks me up every morning. I've been taking it for 25 years, more or less.

If you were allergic you would have a reaction pretty quickly after taking it. Any medication can cause death, including Advil and Tylenol, but most cases are extremely rare. If you are truly scared to take it then I suggest going back to your doctor or talk to your pharmacist.

Also, please know that if you do take the birth control pill it supresses ovulation so using an ovulation predictor kit while on the pill would be useless.

I know I'm scared too. I'm supposed to start taking mine this month and I was reading all the risks and it kind has me freaked out a lot. Idk.
