It really does depend on what else you have in the computer. At a minimum you will need a 500 Watt power supply,
1 Hard-drive,1 CD-ROM, No Overclocking no addit equipent
However If you surpass these you will need a 650 Watt power supply.
2 hard-Drives, 2 CD-Roms +Overclocking, X-Fi Card
If more a 750 Watt - 1000 Watt
2+ Hard Drives, DVD Burner + Blue Ray, Overclocking 2x8800 Ultra in SLI, X-FI Extreme sound card, 8 Fans to cool the Case.

8800 Ultra draws up to 163 watts or 13.6 amps on the +12V rail. Any power supply with at least 30 amps output on the +12V rail should have no problem powering it all day long.
Do not just rely on total power supply wattage. Focus on the power of the +12V rail. Processor circuit and graphics card draw mainly from the +12V rail.

Corsair. Silverstone. Seasonic. PC Power & Cooling. Cooler Master. Get a Corsair VX550/HX620 or PC Power & Cooling Silencer 600 Watt minimum. You're going to have to pay a bit for these though. It's worth it.
